EUROPE: How can video art articulate invisible forms of care and responsibility during a global crisis? What does it mean to give visual and narrative form to the role of “Next of Kin” during a pandemic?
I’m Terrified of Infecting Someone Else was developed as part of The Kintsugi Project which began in Norway during the COVID-19 pandemic when a group of women came together to discuss, investigate and share experiences of being ‘Next of Kin’, and Woven Network Nordics, a European project highlighting women’s voices in urban spaces across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway during the COVID-19 pandemic. Created within a nine-month online residency, the video reflects on vulnerability, responsibility, and care, foregrounding women’s central yet often undervalued roles in both public and domestic spheres during the crisis.
